When I was younger, I wasn’t a big fan of green beans. To be fair, we mostly ate canned green beans which I still don’t love. But fresh green beans? It turns out they’re delicious. And even if you or your family members aren’t in love with green beans just yet, these crispy green bean fries might be just the recipe to convert you!

Anyways, these crispy green bean fries are baked in the oven and they’re just a little bit addicting! You’ve been warned.

Tips for perfectly crispy green bean fries

  1. Pat the green beans dry with a clean dish towel after washing.
  2. Use panko crumbs instead of breadcrumbs. Panko crumbs tend to be larger and flakier than breadcrumbs, so you’ll get more of a crunch
  3. When coating the green beans with the egg wash, it can be helpful to use a fork to dip them before transferring them to the panko crumbs. If you use your fingers, you’ll likely get sticky and end up with a lot of egg in the panko crumbs.
  4. Be sure not to crowd the baking sheet. The green beans should be on a single layer in order to get as crispy as possible.
