I love making flatbread pizzas because it’s quick and simple, but it’s always a crowd-pleaser! For these pizzas I used naan as a base. I love how it’s perfect for a little personal-sized flatbread! These are great for the whole family because everyone can add their favorite toppings.
How to Make White Flatbread Pizza
Tips for the perfect naan pizza
- If you want to lighten this pizza up a bit, you can use whole wheat naan instead of garlic naan. Stonefire makes a great whole wheat naan that is perfect for a pizza crust.
- You can also make your own crust by using this flatbread easy recipe!
- If you like a crisper pizza crust, pre-bake then naan in the oven for 3-5 minutes until lightly browned, before adding the toppings.
- To get the cheese a little brown, turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking.
- For a kick of spice, try adding a drizzle of homemade chili crisp!
For a different variation, try these grilled naan pizzas! They’re topped with roasted red peppers and eggplant and you can easily make them on the grill or in the oven! Looking for a plant-based option? Try my vegan flatbread recipe!
Frequently Asked Questions

naan pizzas are so fun!
This looks SO good, Liz. I want it for lunch right now! My lunches lately have entailed lots of peanut butter and banana sandwiches which are delish but not on this level 🙂
Yum, I love a good naan pizza! I agree with you about ordering white pizzas; they’re not usually as healthy but your version looks light enough to enjoy without the guilt!
I neeeeed to make this. So simple and delicious looking
Now this is a recipe I could handle! 😉 It looks so tasty!!
I love ricotta cheese, so anytime a pizza incorporates it I’m a happy camper!
love it, simple and delicious 🙂
Yummy Yummy! I love using naan or pita to make pizzas. So delicious 🙂
Looks like a fabulously delicious lunch to me!!! I would have to sub the cheese for something else… like a cashew cheese (def not the same as ricotta, but my sad tummy intolerances would kill me if not!) — but I am a huuuge naan fan so I am super into this. And for lunch yesterday I had a big kale salad with some Brussels sprouts and acorn squash – yum!
Mmm I bet this would be good with marinara, roasted veggies, and nutritional yeast!
