My Favorite HIIT Workouts
If you’re short on time, try a HIIT workout! High-Intensity Interval Training is a great way to get in a solid workout in a short amount of time.
I’ve been doing 20 minute circuit workouts, and it’s been kicking my butt. I have a mental list of exercises, and then I mix and match them for 20 minutes. That’s it!
My HIIT Circuit Moves
Mix and match these 1 minute exercises for 15-20 minutes.
- Jump rope
- Weighted sit ups
- Squats
- Lunges
- Bicep curls
- Plank position
- Burpees (Love’ em and hate ’em)
- Mountain climbers
- Push-ups
- Jumping Jacks
Honestly, the time flies by, and I like picking out the next exercise during each minute. It keeps my mind occupied, and it makes the workout really fun. It also keeps my muscles guessing, and I end up getting in a much better workout than just aimlessly wandering from weight machine to weight machine. (Not that I do that or anything… *ahem*)
My Favorite Fitness Apps
Looking for something more? Try an at-home workout app! I love the Tone It Up Studio App and the FitOn app has tons of workouts for free! If you love HIIT Workouts, check out the Sweat App which has tons of high intensity interval programs.
If HIIT workouts aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other options out there! I love The Sculpt Society for dance workouts and the Blogilates app for toning moves.
Do you like circuit workouts? What workout would you add to the list?
Nice to know I’m not the only one sitting cross legged in my office chair. It’s a little awkward when someone appears at my cubicle though.
my attention span is soo short.
in class im literally zoning out every 5 seconds.
I love doing circuit! I enjoy it much more than running on a treadmill. I get bored so easily!
I have been trying to incorporate more circuit workouts into my regimen, and this idea is totally brilliant! I pinned it to my workout board on Pinterest (appropriately named Schweddy Balls), thanks for the inspiration!! 🙂
Circuit workouts are my faaaavorite!! I just do a mix of a bunch of different exercises.
one minute drills are the best! great workout liz.
I totally have ADD when I work out. I like to change things up for sure so circuits are right up my alley, but I need someone to suggest what to do next.
I really need to try circuit workouts! I can totally relate to you. I need a workout that has me moving around and doing different things!
I don’t have a short attention span but I do like the idea of Circuit. I had never heard of it before until read your post.
I have a Gazelle but I think it’s dreadfully boring so I’m not faithful on it at all. The Circuit exercise routine would definitely be of more interest to me.
I don’t like movies for the exact same reason! One hour max, then I’m fidgety, distracted and usually get up and wander away (if the movie’s on tv–although sometimes I’d love to wander out of movie theaters as well, but if I’m paying $12 for a movie, I better make myself watch that thing…)
