I’ve been loving dip recipes lately. I’ve been making savory veggie dips and cheesy taco dips, but I’ve also been making tons of dessert dips. I love this type of recipe because you can make it in advance before you have friends and family over, so when it comes time to host, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your company!

This chocolate chip cheesecake dip only requires a few ingredients and some mixing. It comes together quickly and this recipe is easy to double or cut in half depending on how many servings you need.

What is Cheesecake Dip?

This tasty dip is made with cream cheese, yogurt, vanilla, sugar, and chocolate chips. It tastes like a chocolate chip cheesecake but it’s in a dippable form so it’s easy for sharing! There are many different variations, but this chocolate chip version might be my favorite.

I love this dessert because there’s no baking required! Plus, I can make it in advance so it’s a no-stress recipe for a party. It’s easy to customize and this recipe is always a hit with friends and family.

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Cream cheese– I used low fat cream cheese, but any type of cream cheese will work just fine. You can even use Greek yogurt cream cheese for additional protein.
  • Vanilla yogurt– I used vanilla yogurt, but plain yogurt can be substituted as well. You may need to adjust the sugar. I do not recommend Greek yogurt, but low-fat or full-fat yogurt is fine.
  • Vanilla– A little vanilla extract enhances the cheesecake flavor.
  • Powdered sugar — This will add sweetness to the fruit dip without making it grainy. If you only have granulated sugar, you can throw it in a blender and pulse for a few seconds to turn it into powdered sugar.
  • Mini chocolate chips– I prefer mini chocolate chips which are easier to scoop, but you can use regular chocolate chips or even chopped chocolate bars.

  • Sweet dippers — Some of my favorite options include graham crackers, vanilla wafers, animal crackers, and waffle cone pieces.
  • Salty dippers — Mini pretzels or pretzel rods are always a crowd pleaser!
