I love graham crackers. As a kid, I used to dunk them in hot chocolate, and it was one of my favorite treats. That chocolate and graham cracker combination inspired this recipe! I decided to pair it with creamy almond butter for a combination of sweet and salty flavors.

How to Make Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers

To make these chocolate-dipped graham crackers, start by breaking each graham cracker sheet into 4 pieces. You should end up with 16 individual crackers. Spread them onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. I like to use pre-cut parchment paper because it’s easier to lay flat.

Spread 1/2 teaspoon of almond butter onto each cracker, leaving about 1 inch uncovered. This will make it easier to hold the cracker when dipping in the chocolate.

Melt the chocolate in a round glass, the more narrow, the better. (A tall, thin glass, about 3-4″ tall is the easiest shape to dip the crackers into.) Hold each cracker at the top and carefully dip the cracker about halfway into the melted chocolate.

Once all of the crackers are covered in chocolate, place the tray in the refrigerator or freezer until the chocolate has set. It will take about 1 hour in the refrigerator or 30 minutes in the freezer.

How to Store Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers

Once the chocolate is set, transfer them to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator or freezer, so the chocolate doesn’t melt. If you want to stack them in the container, separate each layer with parchment paper, so they don’t stick together.

How to Make Vegan Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers

If you want to keep these vegan, look for a graham cracker brand that doesn’t use honey. Nabisco’s graham crackers and Keebler Original Graham Crackers do not use real honey, so they’re vegan! You’ll also need to use dairy-free chocolate chips. Enjoy Life makes a great dairy-free option!
