What a Year
My goodness. It’s been quite a year. Looking back, it’s kind of hard to believe all this stuff fit into one calendar year. Here’s what 2014 contained:
Alex proposed to me on Friday, January 3rd.
It was an absolutely wonderful night and I got to share the good news with my parents and grandmother, who were visiting from out of town. We had such a fun weekend celebrating!
February included lots of wedding planning, but also trying some delicious restaurants like WPA Bakery and Proper Pie, a blogger barre class at Richmond Barre, and a fun photo shoot for Baggio with Sydney and Kaytee.
March and April were full of engagement photos, bachelorette parties, and bridal showers! I was so blessed to be able to celebrate in both Ohio and Virginia!
May and June included our wedding day and honeymoon, which were both absolutely wonderful!
We traveled quite a bit in July and August- to Chicago, Ohio, and Minneapolis. Alex’s family threw us a wedding reception in Minnesota so I could meet his family that couldn’t come all the way to Virginia for the wedding. It was so much fun getting to meet his extended family!
Let’s see… September and October included a vegetarian beer dinner, a couple of trips to New York, a trip to North Dakota for my cousin’s wedding, and oh yeah, we bought a house.
After all that, November and December were spent unpacking, remodeling, and celebrating Christmas with our families, including my second little nephew who arrived December 1st. We also got to celebrate our first Christmas in our new house!
What a year it has been! Some of these things took me by surprise and some required more paperwork and planning than I ever dreamed possible. (I’m so glad to be done wedding planning!) I have no idea what 2015 has in store for us but I’m sure it’s going to be a great year!
Since we’ve just become blogging besties LOL Let me say Congratulations on what seems to be your soon to be first Anniversary. You’ve had a rather busy year, and I am so happy that I’ve found you. Looking forward to following your blogs! Happy New Year…
Thank you so much!! I hope you have a wonderful 2015!
You really did have a big year! Such a great review post. I hope everything continues to go well with the new house. The best part of my year was getting my dog, Juno 🙂
Awww I hope you and Juno have a wonderful 2015!
I love your wedding. Especially the cake! I had a baby in December! That was my best part. Happy new year!
Aw congrats!! That’s a wonderful thing to celebrate 🙂
You had such an amazing year and you are seriously GLOWING in all of the pictures of you from the year!
My favorite part of my year is a toss up between our dog and my new job! So, I think my favorite part of the year is how great I feel about where I’m at when we’re at the end of it. It’s a great feeling!
That’s awesome, Katie! Definitely a sign of a great year 🙂
What an exciting year! Love your wedding dress, and your house looks awesome 🙂
You have had one HECK of a year! I hope your 2015 is just as great 🙂
You’ve had an awesome year! The best part of mine was definitely making all of my Richmond friends — you included! 🙂 Have a great NYE! See you soon. xoxo
You’re so sweet. I’m so glad you’re in Richmond! Drinks or barre (or both) ASAP!
So many exciting things happened for you in 2014! Congrats again on tying the knot ♥ Cheers to new, great adventures in 2015, Liz!
This is a great recap! I started following you late in the year so it was great to catch up on the rest of your year. Can’t wait for whats to come in 2015. Happy New Year!
What a year for you!! I hope that 2015 is just as amazing, if not even better 😉
The best part of 2014 for me is just too hard to pinpoint! I’d say all the family time I got this year was pretty special 🙂
