There are a lot of firsts happening over here. For Alex and I, it’s our very first Christmas together. (Last Christmas we celebrated separately and then I flew to Minnesota to see him on the 26th.) It’s also our first Christmas in Richmond, which means it’s a much warmer Christmas than these midwesterners are used to. And of course, it’s our first Christmas in the new house.
In a way, it’s all happened so fast that sometimes I wonder if I’m dreaming. How did I get to be so lucky? Life could have gone a million different ways, but here I am living in the same city as my brother & sister in law, who are absolutely awesome. I married an amazing man who loves me as I am. And I’ve got a mom & dad who love all of us more than I can even believe. I’m so thankful for this wonderful life we have.
Anyways, I’ll keep things quick because it’s Christmas Eve and I’m planning on spending as much of it as I can with my family! My parents arrived late last night so I can’t wait to spend the day with them! In the spirit of what I ate Wednesday, I’ll give you a quick recap of yesterday’s eats:
Lunch: A veggie burrito from Don’t Look Back.
Dinner: A little macaroni & cheese + crushed red pepper.
Dessert: Sweet Frog froyo with all the chocolate. And cheesecake bites for good measure.
And if you need a few last minute cookie recipes, here a few of my favorites!
Chocolate No Bake Cookies (Gluten Free & Vegan)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gluten Free)
3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies (Gluten Free)
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
