I recently had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for one of my best friends, and her only request was that we include a pumpkin dessert. She and I had enjoyed a pumpkin dip together years earlier, so it seemed like the perfect excuse to make it again! 

I tried a couple of dairy-free versions, and this one turned out to be a winner! This recipe is so simple, plus, you can make it in advance. All you have to do is whip everything together and serve!vegan pumpkin dip

Vegan Pumpkin Dip Ingredients

  • Vegan whipped topping (I’ve used Cocowhip and Truwhip Vegan)
  • Vanilla instant pudding (Jello brand is vegan)
  • Canned pureed pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • Pumpkin pie spice

Simply whip everything together and serve! You can make it up to 5 hours in advance and store in the refrigerator.

How to make pumpkin pie spice

I typically buy pre-made pumpkin pie spice, but you can make your own if you have a full spice rack in your kitchen! To make your own, combine:

  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Mix together all spices and keep in a sealed container. For this recipe, you’ll need 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice mix.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups vegan whipped topping (1 8oz tub)
  • 1 (5oz) packet vanilla instant pudding (1 small box)
  • 1 (16oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. If whipped topping is frozen, let thaw in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix all ingredients together until combined.
  3. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
