I love making new smoothie bowl combinations and this recipe reminded me of blueberry pie! Even though it’s sweet and creamy, it’s completely vegan and it makes for a healthy breakfast!

blueberry smoothies

I love smoothie bowls any time of the year and this blueberry pie bowl has been my current favorite! For this recipe, I used Ocean Spray Pure Unsweetened Blackberry Juice to amplify the berry flavor without added sugar, and Ripple Dairy Free Milk for a creamy texture that is still plant-based. I also love adding rolled oats because it makes the smoothie thicker and more filling. If you’ve never tried adding oats to your smoothie, give it a shot!

Tips for a Perfect Smoothie Bowl

  • Blend the oats with the liquid before adding the berries, to ensure a smooth texture.
  • If you want to add any greens or protein powder, blend those with the oats and liquid until smooth, before adding frozen ingredients.
  • If you don’t have a powerful blender, slice your banana before freezing. The smaller pieces will be easier to blend.
  • Be sure to use frozen fruit in order to achieve the thickest texture.
