This delicious smoothie bowl will remind you of sweet blueberry pie! Made with frozen blueberries, blackberry juice, and rolled oats, this breakfast is healthy, tasty, and completely plant-based!
I love making new smoothie bowl combinations and this recipe reminded me of blueberry pie! Even though itโs sweet and creamy, itโs completely vegan and it makes for a healthy breakfast!
I love smoothie bowls any time of the year and this blueberry pie bowl has been my current favorite! For this recipe, I used Ocean Spray Pure Unsweetened Blackberry Juice to amplify the berry flavor without added sugar, and Ripple Dairy Free Milk for a creamy texture that is still plant-based. I also love adding rolled oats because it makes the smoothie thicker and more filling. If youโve never tried adding oats to your smoothie, give it a shot! If you love this smoothie, try my blueberry banana smoothie, too!
Tips for a Perfect Smoothie Bowl
- Blend the oats with the liquid before adding the berries, to ensure a smooth texture.
- If you want to add any greens or protein powder, blend those with the oats and liquid until smooth, before adding frozen ingredients.
- If you donโt have a powerful blender, slice your banana before freezing. The smaller pieces will be easier to blend.
- Be sure to use frozen fruit in order to achieve the thickest texture.
