I love making smoothies because it’s an easy way to add a bunch of healthy ingredients into a meal or snack. I kept this recipe simple with a little fruit for sweetness and yogurt for protein, but you can also add some veggies in if you like! (Check out all the veggies I packed into this hidden veggie smoothie!) If you’re looking for more tasty smoothie recipes, try my banana berry smoothiegreen smoothie recipe, or peach mango smoothie.

Variations & Additions

  • To make this smoothie thick, be sure to use frozen berries and a frozen banana. The frozen fruit makes it super thick.
  • Feel free to add protein powder if you want to turn this into more of a meal. I recommend using a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder. If your protein powder is sweetened, you may want to reduce the sweetener so the smoothie isn’t too sweet. I like to use 1/2 scoop of protein powder in place of the sweetener. I use Clean Simple Eats vanilla protein.
  • If you want to turn it into a smoothie bowl and add toppings, fresh berries and granola are a great option!
  • I like the taste of vanilla Greek yogurt, but you could use plain Greek yogurt to reduce the sugar. You could also substitute almond milk yogurt if you wanted to make this smoothie vegan.
  • I used blueberries but you can swap in any kind of berries you like!
