Lately I’ve been loving a cherries in my yogurt but for some reason I never though about adding them to my smoothie! So the other day when I was low on bananas I started thinking about a cherry smoothie… with chocolate of course.
It also felt sort of festive for the season, although I could definitely see myself eating this in the summertime, too!
- ½ cup frozen cherries
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup Blue Diamond Almondmilk Cashewmilk blend or Almond Milk
- ½ cup ice (about 4 large cubes)
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- Optional: honey or a few drops of liquid stevia to taste
- Toss it all in your blender and blend until smooth.
- If you like, you can even add in a few mini chocolate chips on top.
I used the new Blue Diamond Almondmilk Cashewmilk blend for this recipe. It’s perfect for smoothies and I’l definitely be using it for baking as well. It’s nice and creamy while still being low in calories and sugar. (Although they also make a sweetened version if that’s more your style!)
