How to Make Cinnamon Chips
These sweet cinnamon chips are made from flour tortillas! They’re easy to make and they’re perfect to enjoy on their own or dip into your favorite dessert dip!

I’ve been loving dessert dips like this Nutella dip and normally I dunk pieces of fruit or graham crackers, but I started thinking about how delicious it would be to dip cinnamon chips into these sweet dips. Rather than running to the store for chips, I decided to make my own. It was so easy!
These cinnamon chips require just four ingredients: flour tortillas, butter, cinnamon, and sugar. You probably already have these things in your pantry! So you can enjoy homemade cinnamon chips in no time.
The Best Tortillas for Cinnamon Chips
I recommend using soft flour tortillas. Any size is fine, from street taco size to burrito size! Just keep in mind that if you want to cut your tortillas into triangles, taco size or fajita size will work best. But if you’re using a smaller or larger tortilla you can either adjust your triangle size or you can slice it into strips instead.
If you wanted to make these healthier you could use whole wheat tortillas, but I have to admit that white flour tortillas have the best flavor. Still, it’s up to you! I don’t recommend using corn tortillas, which have a funky flavor when paired with cinnamon and sugar.

Tips & Tricks
I like using a pizza cutter to cut the tortillas into wedges, but a sharp knife works just fine too.
I recommend rotating the pan during baking to ensure even browning. Keep a close eye on the chips because they can burn easily! They will continue to crisp as they cool soo don’t worry if they’re still a bit soft when you take them out of the oven.
I think these are best enjoyed when they’re still warm! But they’ll stay crispy for a day or two. Store them in an airtight container.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I make this with pita instead of tortillas? Yes! Pita bread tends to be thicker, but it still works great! Just slice the pita into triangles, brush with butter, and dust with cinnamon and sugar.
- Can I make these vegan? Yes! Substitute the butter with melted vegan butter or coconut oil.
