What are blended baked oats?
These baked oats are made from blending raw oats with milk, eggs, banana, sweetener, and baking powder. Blending the oats creates a soft, cake-like texutre. Since we are using oats instead of flour you do not need to worry about overmixing/blending the ingredients. Keep blending until everything looks really smooth. The final mixture will look fairly runny but will firm up upon baking.
The Best Blender for Blended Oats
This recipe has been tested in a variety of blenders and it’s worked great every tine, so don’t stress if you don’t have an expensive blender! You could even use a food processor if you don’t have a blender. Check out my blog post on how to get the best results from your blender for more tips.
The Best Oats for Blended Oats
This recipe works with old fashioned oats (which are also called rolled oats) or quick oats. This recipe does not work with steel cut oats. Oats do not contain gluten, but be sure to check the package to ensure it’s gluten-free if you’re preparing these for someone with a gluten allergy. Biscoff cookies do contain gluten so this recipe isn’t gluten-free.

What is Biscoff spread?
Biscoff spread is kind of like peanut butter or almond butter, but it’s a spread made with with Speculoos cookies from Lotus. The cookies are crunchy with a uniquely spiced flavor. The cookies are delicious and you’ll find them in the cookie aisle at most large grocery stores. The spread is a bit harder to find but you can order the cookie butter on Amazon. Trader Joe’s also makes Cookie Butter which is a pretty good dupe for Biscoff spread.
Are blended oats healthy?
Oats are a whole grain which means they’re a good source of protein and fiber. These oats are sweetened with bananas to cut down on added sugar and you can reduce the amount of Biscoff cookies and Biscoff spread, if you want to lower the sugar. If you’re looking for a lower sugar option, try the Granola Butter from Oat Haus. It’s rich and creamy with a similar texture and flavor, but with less sugar. Another option would be to use natural almond butter or peanut butter in place of the Biscoff spread, which wouldn’t contain any added sugar. While it may sound crazy to add a cookie on top of your oatmeal, each Biscoff cookie only contains 3g of sugar.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How should I store leftovers? Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave until piping hot.

- Can I double the recipe? This recipe can be increased easily. If you are making it in a larger dish with double the quantities, increase the baking time by ten minutes. You will know the oats are cooked when they have risen, feel springy to the touch, and are shrinking away from the edges of the dish.
- Can I use dairy milk? I used almond milk because that is what the original viral Tik Tok recipe uses. However, we have tested this with cow’s milk and oat milk and the recipe works just as well. Use whichever milk is your preference.
- Can I skip the banana? You can substitute the banana for 1/2 cup applesauce.
