15 Easy Vegetarian Sauces to Make Everything Taste Better

Tips & Tricks

  • When blending smaller batches of sauces, it helps to have a smaller blender or food processor. If you don’t have one, you may want to consider doubling the batch of sauce to make it easier to blend.
  • For any cashew-based sauces, soaking the cashews overnight will make them easier to blend. For a faster option, you can add them to a bowl of very hot water and let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
  • When blending herbs, softer stems (like dill, cilantro, and parsley) can typically be added, as long as they’re not too large and thick. For herbs like rosemary or other woody stems, be sure to remove them before blending.
