It’s feeling like summer here in Richmond and I LOVE it! Sunday night, I walked to Carytown and had dinner with some friends. Look at this delicious sandwich I got from New York Deli
This baby had guacamole, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, on toasted wheat bread. It was served with zucchini, broccoli, roasted red peppers, and carrots. That’s right, I got some amazing veggiliciousness at a deli. Be impressed. Oh and it was consumed outside, on a patio, which (as everyone knows) makes food 47% more tasty.
I love New York Deli because they have so many choices, and I can get something healthy (or french fries… if I’m in the mood.) The prices are reasonable (plan on spending ~$10 for a meal) and they even have some good happy hour specials.
Of course, the dinner had to be followed by a trip to Sweet Frog. You know I can’t say no to that.
Last night I took another pole dancing class at:
Nothing like some stripper moves to get your heart rate up The past few classes I’ve taken haven’t been a super intense workout, but yesterday was definitely more of a challenge.
We started with wall push ups and some leg lifts. The pole moves is what really got my upper body going. We did some pole climbs and spin moves that really tested my strength! (Which, by the way, is lacking!) The “floor work” we learned involved what could best be described in yoga terms as a blank position into a cobra, (with some hair flipping involved…). I’m sore today, so I think that’s a good sign!
