What I [Attempted] Wednesday
What I Ate Attempted Wednesday… a recap of things I’ve done. (Exciting, no?) If you haven’t joined the link party yet, check it out! (And Jenn, I’m SO excited to see you in a few weeks!!!!)
This weekend was full of activites. I’ve learned saying “yes” is the best way to encounter an adventure. So that’s what I did this weekend, I said yes.
I said yes to the driving range.
I said yes to the batting cages.
I said yes to jumping off an old railroad bridge into the river.
I said yes to planking
And I said yes to texting while walking through the CVS parking lot, which led to me stubbing ramming my toe into the concrete parking barrier. It was bloody, and I’ll spare you the pictures.
That’s right, I didn’t hurt myself in any of the other adventures. Not even the rock climbing in flip flops I did on Sunday. No, my friends, I get injured while texting and walking. Hold your applause.
Anyways, since it is What I Ate Wednesday, I suppose I should show you what I’ve been eating:
The 100 calorie “Take Out” dinner.
- 1 package of no-oodles
- 2 tbsp teryiaki sauce (I gotta use up the rest from this recipe)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup broccoli
It tastes like take out. But it’s not.
And since that dinner was so low-cal… it was followed up with
A yogurt bowl
Save a bowl, use a yogurt container. I swear there is some yogurt under there. Then I topped it with a truckload of blueberries + Love Grown Granola.
I don’t know why I’ve been craving yogurt so much, but I’ve been eating it once, sometimes twice a day, every day. SO delicious.
What have you been eating these days?
Join the link party, and tell me!
<3 Liz
Gotta admit, the idea of a no-calorie noodle kinda freaks me out. Food that isn’t food? How? Your “take out” still looks delish, though 🙂
And let’s hear it for saying yes, what fun! I, too, have learned the dangers of texting and doing anything else at the same time. But I’m just not good at multitasking without injury in general…
Haha I know, they’re kind of weird! But a friend bought them for me, so I wanted to try them 🙂
haha I love your plank on that tree!
ANd I have texted while trying to multitask and I usually end up running into something or stubbing a toe 🙂
oh my goodness, the bridge jumping looks INSANELY fun! ok, excuse me for sounding cheesy, but i really loved this post and your line, “I learned saying yes is the best way to encounter an adventure”. All too many times in my life, I say NO to things when they could’ve turned into amazing adventures! I’m trying to listen to what you said, and I’ll keep you in mind the next time I’m asked to do somehting…because I’ll definitely be saying, YES!! Thanks for such a great post and glad you had a great number of adventures too:)
I love the picture of you doing the plank on the tree! Way to get back to nature!
Those noodles look interesting, they remind me of Korean cellophane noodles, which are also made of yam. Looks like you had a good time 🙂 I’ve said yes to the batting cages, but I am horrrrrrrible at the driving range!
they’re really similar to those noodles, actually! And I’m TERRIBLE at the driving range. But I have fun! haha
Haha ok seriously, you’d be one fun person to hang out with. I’d jump off anything into a river! The river by my dad has a huge tree that someone tied a rope too. We always swim over to it and swing into the river. Its SUPER high up, but its so fun!
LOVE the plank picture!
I’ve never heard of these no noodles before, how interesting! Best thing I ate was raw zucchini 🙂
Yummy yogurt bowl! Lately I’ve been eating a ton of grape tomatoes, I’ve been craving them SO bad haha! 😉
Haha! The injury while texting totally sounds like something I would do! I’m SO accident prone, but I actually hurt myself more during day-to-day activities!
I’ve been eating a lot of cottage cheese lately! I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t seem to get enough…sweet…savory…doesn’t matter! So funny that even the thought of CC used to make me gag! lol
I’m so jealous! I’ve been WANTING to like cottage cheese for, like… ever. But no luck. Blehhh. What’s the secret?!
