What I Ate [Without an Appetite] Wednesday
It was an odd day of eats. For some reason, I just didn’t have much of an appetite. Which never. Ever. Happens.
I even went to the store to buy ingredients for a new recipe, and then ended up totally not feeling it. So my eats were pretty lame. Don’t worry, I’m sure my appetite will be back in full force soon!
Thank you, Jenn, for being the queen of Wednesday!!! Happy What I Ate Wednesday, friends!
Breakfast:
I’ve been eating more smoothies and less yogurt bowls, due to the exorbitant prices of blueberries. (And I don’t skimp on the b-berries.) PB+Banana+ Almond milk + spinach is super cheap. Thank goodness. So is my homemade granola.
Lunch:
I’m kind of in a lunch-rut. But it’s not so bad. The salad bars at work are great, so I’ve been filling up on salads. And hummus has become standard, so that’s usually my choice of “dressing”. Although to be perfectly honest, for some reason, I think the hummus has been giving me a stomach ache… and I can’t figure out why. That didn’t help the lack of appetite.
Dinner:
I had picked out all the ingredients for a new recipe and then I had absolutely no appetite. None. So annoying! Finally, around 8pm, I worked up an appetite, and popped in new (to me) Trader Joe’s frozen dinner.
It was surprisingly good, and less than 300 calories. It was definitely filling, but as I mentioned, I didn’t start out terribly hungry.
Dessert:
No matter how not-hungry I am, I am always hungry for fro-yo. Always. So Kate and I made a trip to Sweet Frog, before going to see the movie 50/50 which was super good. And it was fun thinking about the fact the Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in Richmond right now filming another movie.
So funny that your appetite has been strange, because towards the beginning of the week, I felt the exact same way…but have no fear, she is back and ready to rock! Huge fan of green smoothies with granola. Actually more of a fan of the granola. 🙂
Haha sometimes I think I just like smoothies because I want an excuse to eat more peanut butter and granola 😉
I hate when I’m not in the mood for anything. Good choice with the froyo.. thought you can’t actually see much froyo with all the toppings 😉 lol
I’ve been not-hungry for breakfast the last two days which is super weird for me, but I’ve been rolling with it by eating half a grapefruit and having some hot tea until my lunchtime hunger comes along. 🙂
I rarely don’t have an appetite, but there are some days it is just not there! However, there is certainly always room for froyo and I am glad you agree 🙂 I never put hummus on my salad, but it’s a great addition! Must try soon
Being preggers, I can eat froyo any ol time of day and any temperature. I am so freakin’ obsessed with it right now. And the more toppings the better!
There IS always room for fro-yo! And I actually think I eat more fro yo (well, sorbet for me) in the winter than the summer. Who knows why. And hummus is such a great salad topper, I love that combo.
I can allllllways eat fro-yo!!! I like it more than ice cream 🙂
I definitly have those days sometimes when I’m just not hungry.. and it bugs me to no end, because I love eating, lol.
Me too!!!! I was like, mad at my stomach for not wanting to eat 😉
I can eat ice cream / fro yo in the DEAD of winter… and also when I’m as full as ever. Somehow there’s always magical room for the stuff in my belly and it also doesn’t make me colder even if it’s snowing out (lol funny how that works?) In fact, I’m polishing off some Edy’s pumpkin with cool whip topping just this week, totally not one of my greatest eating habits but just tooooo good! Are you going to meet up with me and Britt for lunch this weekend?!
Yes!!!! I’m planning on it! Has a location been decided yet? I’m up for anything! The best thing about going out with food bloggers is, I know I won’t end up at T.G.I. Fridays… (like I did on Sunday… when I agreed to go out with all my guy friends… gross)
I hate it when my appetite just goes like that. Your eats still look amazing though!
