Peach Crisp Yogurt Bowl
This peach crisp yogurt bowl is a simple and delicious breakfast, perfect for busy mornings! Sweet peaches are the perfect pairing for creamy Greek yogurt.
It’s peach season and I can’t get enough of this tasty stone fruit! From smoothies to salads, I’m a little crazy for peaches! Since peach season doesn’t last long, I have to enjoy them while I can. Last year, I got to pick fresh peaches from Chiles Peach Orchard and the peaches were amazing! If you live in Virginia, definitely check it out! If you have extra peaches, make this healthy peach crisp recipe or whip up this peach and ricotta crostini!
Types of Peaches
There are a few different types of peaches you’ll typically find at the grocery store, and any of them will be delicious in this yogurt bowl. The two main types are freestone and clingstone. The difference is whether or not the peach “clings” to the pit. But don’t stress about finding a specific variety. If you prefer, you can even substitute nectarines. The main thing is waiting until the peach is perfectly ripe!
How to Tell When a Peach is Ripe
When a peach is ready to be eaten, it will be fairly soft. Once a peach starts to have a little “give” to it when squeezed, that typically means it’s almost ready. It may need another 1-2 days to soften completely. But if the peach is too soft or mushy, it may be overripe. The trick is finding the sweet spot!
I love the combination of creamy yogurt, sweet peaches, crunchy granola, and flaky coconut. Of course, you can swap in whatever toppings you have available! It’s hard to go wrong with peaches and yogurt.
