What I [Packed] Wednesday
This afternoon, I’m heading to Tennessee for Bonnaroo, a huge music festival, where I will camp for 5 days. Yes, camp.
I went camping once. For one night. It was… an experience. (Brett, I’m sorry for waking you up in the middle of the night freaking out about a bear that wasn’t actually outside our tent.) So this 5 day camping adventure should be interesting.
Since it’s What I Ate Wednesday, I thought it would be appropriate to show you what I packed on Wednesday.
I’ve packed all the normal people essentials. Sleeping bag, pillow, poncho, flashlight, etc. But then I had to pack my food essentials. Much more thought went into these. Since I’m not going to want to try to cook much, I packed simple staples:
Assortment of bars
Kashi GoLean, Luna, & Larabars
Nuts & Cereal
Cashews & Peanut Butter, and a box of Kashi back there 🙂
Cracker-type things
Wheat Thins & Goldfish Grahams (go ahead, judge this packaged food, I know, I know.)
Fruit
Apples, lemons (love me some lemon) and bananas!
I also packed lots of water! And my vitamins, because I’m cool like that. I’m probably the only person packing vitamins. But I’m ok with that.
What do you pack when you’re traveling?
Since I’ll be gone, the lovely Kat from keepinthefaith is doing a guest post for me on Friday! Make sure you check back to see an awesome recipe!
Hope you’re all having a great week! I’ll be back on Monday!

Wow! Camping for five days. That sounds like it will be an adventure!
Have a blast camping! I’ve never really done it, well, one time I stayed in a cabin. I’m not good at roughing it 🙂
Camping for 5 days is quite amazing. Do you live in TN?
I like your thinking on what food to take – can I come next time?!
Have a brilliant weekend 🙂
Those look really similar to the eats we would have when we would camp out during the Telluride Bluegrass Festival every summer–have fun!!
I’ve only been camping once…ok, so now I can say that I’ve “camped” but I’m not much on copping a squat, rolling over on a rock through 2812 layers of sleeping bags/blankets, and worrying that I’ll be eaten alive by some sort of creature…hello rabid squirrels!! Yeah, I think I’ll just stick to making s’mores in the microwave and chilling in the AC! 😉
Whenever I travel, I always make sure to pack trail mix (homemade is the best), bars, and fruit!
Hope you have fun at Bonnaroo! I’ve never been but I’ve heard it’s an absolute blast!
oooh THATS where you were off to! wait! take me with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all your bars! Went I went to the Keys I packed a few Luna bars. They definitely came in handy!! 😀
I pack nut butters, bars, and sometimes fresh/dried fruits 😀
So jealous you are going to Bonnaroo! I heard it is awesome 🙂
