What I [Actually] Ate Wednesday
First off, it’s What I Ate Wednesday, from the fabulous Jenn, who needs to find us tickets to Foster the People in Richmond so we can go together. (Got that, Jenn?)
Normally, I don’t play the WIAW game very well, because I tend to think that all my eats are boring, and I end up sharing something else. But not today. Today I’m going to do things right. So this is what I ate… on Tuesday.
Except for breakfast. Because I’ve been eating the same thing over and over. You can see it on my last WIAW post, if you really must see it again. So instead, I’ll give you my awkward “I’m so happy I don’t have to go to work, but instead I get to go paint a mural at an elementary school this morning” look.
Yep, that’s the look.
After painting, I went into work and threw together this salad, which has been my standard lunch. It’s not exciting. It’s some greens + balsamic vinegar. This was consumed with some soy crisps and a handful of cashews, courtesy of the snack cart at work.
But then there was an earthquake… and that freaked everyone out, especially me.I don’t have any pictures to show… but… it seemed important, so insert mental freak out<here>.
As soon as I get home from work, I’m usually hungry (maybe because that salad really isn’t too filling…) so I grab a snack. It’s usually either cereal or a smoothie. Today, Yesterday, it was a smoothie.
1/2 banana, 1 cup soymilk, 6 drops vanilla stevia, handful of ice, + heaping spoonful of granola. YUM.
And then “I-hate-everything-about-vegetarian-food” guy came over for dinner. And I made a vegetarian dinner.
Thankfully, I had this meal on my mind since yesterday, when I saw it over at Eat Live Run. I had a hunch that this could please even the pickiest of meat eaters.
And I was correct. I think. It’s honestly hard to tell with these meat eaters. But the plate was eaten, so I suppose that’s a win? (My apologies on the phone-camera pictures… my real camera is not being my friend right now.)
I have recently been having pancakes for breakfast each morning. They are just so dang delicious, I really can’t help myself!!
haha loved the mental freakout 🙂 my hubby just saw foster the people not long ago and loved their show!
I want to go so bad! I can’t believe how fast they sold out here! 🙁
My breakfast is pretty much the same everyday except for days I run in the morning. I only mix it up with new flavors/extracts!
Your dinner=YUM. Dude I heard about that earthquake on the news, that must’ve been SO weird! I’ve never been in an earthquake before. I would’ve been a psychopath!
I’ve never been in an earthquake, so yesterday’s tremors were pretty scary. I was in a high rise and it was scary feeling the building sway!
I hadn’t been either! I was on the 4th floor at our office, and it was really kind of scary! I had no idea what was going on!
Yay WIAW! I feel like my eats are getting super boring because I don’t cook anymore. I just don’t have time! It’s been fruit, smoothies, salads, and almond butter for me. 🙁

Aw I hear you! We got sent home early because of the earthquake, so I actually had time to cook! haha
I am honestly trying to switch up my breakfast routine, but I find I like the same few over and over again! Happy WIAW 🙂
That dinner looks fab, glad it won over the veggie hater 🙂 I like to change up breakfasts although sometimes I think I could eat green smoothies every day for a very long time!
