Birthday Cake Protein Shake
This birthday cake protein shake tastes like dessert for breakfast but it’s loaded with protein to keep you full and energized all day long!
I’m one of those people that can’t function without breakfast. And I try to keep breakfast pretty healthy, to start the day off on the right foot. But just because breakfast is healthy doesn’t mean it can’t taste like dessert! This Birthday Cake Protein Shake is the perfect way to start your day!
I recently tried About Time Birthday Cake Protein Powder and I’m obsessed! So I whipped up this little shake. Ok, so this is actually only half of it. It made a huge serving. But I’m not complaining! If you want some tips on how to create the best smoothies at home, check out this post on how to make super thick smoothies!
Blend everything except the sprinkles in a blender or food processor until smooth. Freezing the banana is the key to making it extra thick! You can also add a tiny pinch of xanthan gum if you want to make it a little thicker. (If xanthan gum freaks you out, it shouldn’t! I use it every time I forget to freeze my banana ahead of time.)

Hi this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering
if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice
from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I wish they had a soy cake-batter protein powder. Once I get some of that, I will be making this! 😀
awww man! I wish I could try this – but whey = milk protein. can’t eat it… normally I’d be all about anything birthday cake flavored!
This is kind of ironic that you posted this, since just yesterday I was thinking about “emotional eating,” and if it’sever healthy. I came to the conclusion that yes, a little baking tlc is sometimes just what the doc ordered. I keep chocoloate chip cookie dough ready and waiting in my fridge for just such occasions. 🙂
Oh, and btw, whoever said something negative to you = NOT worth it. It doesn’t take away how it makes you feel, but it tends to come from a place of immaturity and/or insecurity.
You definitely aren’t the last person to try birthday cake protein powder! Oh my goodness, yum. I *need* to get some of this today. And the sprinkles are definitely necessary. :-p
I’m always pining for my all time favorite combination: whipped cottage cheese + peanut butter. However lately I’ve been enjoying cinnamon pumpkin protein cake + protein icing.
Mmm that smoothie looks just like a milkshake!! Now you’re making me want a milkshake 😛
I’m addicted to oatmeal + greek yogurt or wheat germ these days. I just can never get enough of it!
<3 <3
That really does look like a milkshake! Love it!
Sprinkles are just so prettiful!
Favorite combo hummus, avocado, tomato, spinach and cukes in a pita. MMMM! And a berry smoothie loaded with spinach or kale.
Lol, I love this post!!! I promote a 90 Day Challenge that has a shake mix that tastes like Cake mix, but never heard of this one!! Tell me more!! YUMMY!!!
xxoo
OH my goodness I must get this protein powder! Cake batter is such a yummy flavor.. in ice cream too 🙂
