This Moscow Mule Mocktail is a refreshing and delicious drink, made with ginger beer, Perrier Cucumber Lime, fresh lime juice, and cucumber slices!
I love a good cocktail and it’s always fun to mix up drinks when we have friends over! We’ve been looking for refreshing alternatives to alcoholic cocktails and this Moscow Mule Mocktail is the perfect thing to sip on when you want a flavorful drink without any alcohol!
How to Make a Moscow Mule Mocktail
You’ll need a few simple ingredients: Perrier® Cucumber Lime sparkling water, ginger beer (this is a non-alcoholic soft drink), fresh lime juice, sliced cucumber, and crushed ice. If you’ve never tried Perrier®, it’s a bold and refreshing beverage, but it mixes well with other flavors, making it the perfect base for this mocktail! It’s a 0 calorie drink, with no artificial sweeteners. I found it at Publix in the sparkling water section.
To make this feel like a traditional Moscow Mule, be sure to serve it in a copper mug! This makes the drink taste extra cold and refreshing.
What’s in a Traditional Moscow Mule?
A typical Moscow Mule is made with vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. I wanted to make a non-alcoholic version, so we skip the vodka and use Perrier Cucumber Lime sparkling water for a little extra flavor! It’s a great option for sipping on something delicious without the alcohol.
What is Ginger Beer?
Don’t let the name fool you, ginger beer is non-alcoholic. It’s a soft drink, sort of like root beer, but with a spicy ginger flavor. You can find lower-sugar brands, if you want to keep the calories on this drink a little lower. Some brands are spicier than others. I really like Crabbie’s ginger beer for a spicy kick!
Why do Moscow Mules Use Copper Mugs?
The traditional Moscow Mule is served in a copper mug, like the one shown above. It’s a great vessle for these drinks because it cools down immediately, and you’ll feel the cooler temperature with every sip. A copper mug can also keep the drink insulated, helping it stay chilled for longer. You can read more about the mugs on Moscow Copper.
Do Moscow Mules Contain a Lot of Sugar?
A traditional Moscow Mule and a mocktail version both contain sugar from the ginger beer. But there are great low-sugar options on the market, if you wanted to keep the sugar in check. Q Mixers makes a light ginger beer and Zevia makes a stevia sweetened ginger beer.
Grab a friend and two copper mugs and whip up these tasty Moscow Mule Mocktails!

It is so hard to find non-alcoholic drinks that taste ‘grown-up’ and not too sweet – this is perfect! Thanks so much.
