Wednesday Eats & New Goals
Let me guess. You woke up this morning and were just dying to know what I’ve been eating lately.
No? Well… too bad. Because it’s What I Ate Wednesday over at Peas & Crayons and this is what I’ve been eating lately:
Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup from Trader Joe’s. It’s creamy and delicious!
I’ve also been munching on this salad combo:
That’s your basic salad ingredients topped with:
- 2 tbsp hummus
- 1 tbsp Annie’s Honey Mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice (to thin)
- 1 tbsp chopped almonds
Yummm so simple and so delicious. I didn’t know I liked honey mustard until I had that sandwich on Sunday, and it was served with some honey mustard sauce.
I’ve also been eating a lot of spaghetti squash, topped with Light Ragu and nutritional yeast. YUM!
Sunday night I was feeling nostalgic and made some classic Toll House Cookies.
Which meant eating way too much cookie dough 😉 But hey, sometimes you can’t help it!
As for workouts, I’ve really been trying to push myself harder. Working with a trainer makes me realize how much more I could do. My newest goal? Pull ups. I literally can’t do one. However, my trainer showed me out to do them using a resistance band. You basically hook the band to the bar, and step into it, so it kind of helps you up as shown here:

I’ve been doing a lot of them and my shoulders are sore! Bonnie would be so proud.
Pull ups- awesome or impossible?
What have you been eating lately?
<3 Liz
Pull ups: definitely impossible. Especially because I workout at home and thus have no access to a pull up bar. One day when I go to a gym I’ll start practicing them.. when I’m alone that is. No one needs to witness my failed attempts. 😉
Hahaha yeah, my first attempts were pretty embarrassing. But also made me want to take on the challenge!!
Being able to do an actual pull up is one of my goals. So far I havent had much success. 🙂
I love spaghetti squash! My husband J wasn’t too sure about it at first but I’ve made him a believer too 🙂
Hope you are having a good day!
Love spaghetti squash!!! toll house cookies are sooo yummy you just made me crave one!
All of your food looks great – especially the cookies! I eat way too much dough every single time. My goal would be to do regular push ups most of the time…right now I can only *mostly* do “girl” push ups.
I definitely need to try spaghetti squash!
