19- Selfies attempted
3- Selfies successfully completed

2- National parks we tried to visit that were closed due to the government shut down
2- Vineyards we visited in Napa Valley

5- Groupons purchased for dinner
2- Friends we saw along the way (Hi, Vishal & Jeremy!)
14-Times I almost checked my work e-mail and then decided not to
3- Times I actually checked my work e-mail
5- Local wine tastings

7- Times I accidentally gave Alex the wrong directions
2-Times I correctly identified which direction we should go, without consulting the GPS

8- Episodes of Breaking Bad watched from various hotel rooms
1- Scary run-in with a local when we accidentally wandered off the hotel path on a surry bike.
53- Foursquare check-ins

7- Coffee shops visited. 8 if you count the gas station.
2- State Capitols visited

214- consecutive hours I spent with Alex. And still didn’t get sick of him ๐
Looks like a great trip, Liz! What a bummer about the national parks. I just kept thinking about all the vacationers turned away and it makes me sick. I mean, you take off time from work, schedule flights, reserve hotels…ugh. I’m glad you guys were able to figure out other plans!
“7- Times I accidentally gave Alex the wrong directions” HAHA I love this!! Tell him he should be happy it was only 7! I would have hit double digits for sure. ๐
Love this for a vacation recap! Sounds like you both had an amazing time. =)
I always love reading recaps by the numbers! Sounds like a great trip!
Love the format of this recap! Enjoyed stalking your Instagram pics and now have a major case of wanderlust. One thing on my list is a West Coast vacay!
Do it!! I’m so glad we finally did ๐
It looks like you had a great time! I love the vacation by numbers post.
Sounds like one fantastic vacation. I think “14-Times I almost checked my work e-mail and then decided not to” is probably my favorite of them all because it just shows you were able to relax without worrying about technology. Good for you =) By the way – welcome home dear!
So much fun! Glad y’all had a great trip. When Vishnu and I first started dating, one of my good friends told me to take a trip with him, and if we could stand e/o after a few days together just us, we would be ok! Turns out she was right!
Haha that is so true! You learn a lot about someone when you’re together for so long without anyone else!
I love this! Your vacation looked like so much fun and it made me really excited for my own little road trip vacation later this month!
Have a fun trip!! We need to get together sometime soon ๐
Sounds like such an amazing vacation!! I am terrible when it comes to directions too, especially when it comes to reading maps, even when it tells you where to go. My boyfriend always wants to know whats ahead and I try and explain it and just can’t. I also never remember how I got somewhere unless I’ve been there 5-6 times and even then I still need to pull out a map. It’s like my brain just doesn’t want to know directions at all ๐
Haha I am the exact same way! I know it drives Alex bananas because he’s so good at them!
