What I Ate Yesterday
Christmas is quickly approaching and this week has felt a little crazy. All of the last minute to-do’s and social activities seemed to be crammed in the next few days. I’m not complaining but I’d say my body is made of 40% coffee right now. Anyways, let’s jump into the food! Here’s what I ate yesterday:
I started off with a smoothie made with banana, almond cashew milk, ice, peanut flour, and stevia. I also had a little extra peanut butter on the side. This was so good. I never get sick of this combination!
The morning was packed with meetings so by the time lunch rolled around my stomach was rumbling.
I grabbed a mixed greens with a chopped cucumber salad and some pita chips with spinach hummus. This turned out to be super filling!
After lunch, I had a little more coffee and a few bites of this emoji cookie. Because when you see an emoji cookie, you have to at least try it. But I knew my day would contain more cookies so I only had a few bites.
I hit the gym before dinner and managed to get in a decent workout. I’ve been trying to keep up with my workouts because I’m definitely a happier person when I get in regular workouts. Stress buster.
Once I got home, I started making some cookies for a cookie exchange! (Seriously, cookie exchanges are the best.) I made a batch of these chocolate chip pecan bars.
Once dinner time rolled around, I needed something quick and easy so I dug around my freezer and came out with this ravioli from Trader Joe’s. It wasn’t my favorite of all time but it was good.
Apologies for the less than stellar picture. When your camera battery is dead, you make the best of it with an iphone.
After dinner we went to a friends house and I had some wine and a handful of M&Ms. Not a bad way to end the day!
Is anyone else enjoying frozen dinners during the holiday rush?
I’m linking up with What I Ate Wednesday!
Luckily, I’ve had a bunch of leftover veggies I’ve frozen and have been making some power bowls! Greens, veggies, protein, sauce – Boom! Done!
That spinach hummus looks killah – I’ve had a pretty laid back week but when I’m rushed I always dive into my freezer to find some thing quick and easy.
I’ve been having lots of easy and quick dinners during the holiday season, though often I end up with not wanting to eat a whole Amy’s meal but rather a quick salad or eggs early on before a party where I have some nibbles!
That is the coolest cookie I’ve ever seen. I hope it tasted as good as it looks?! Those chocolate chip pecan bars look so good too. Drooling over here.
Haha the emoji cookie actually tasted pretty good! (You never know with cookies like that, haha)
Girly, your day of eats was positively drool-worthy! I actually didn’t know this goat cheese ravioli existed, but it’s going to be first on my list next shopping trip! I’ve been precooking chicken breasts and hard boiled eggs, but that’s about it. I need to get down with the frozen!
I’ve been with my family for the past few days, and we’ve been eating so much take-out food. It’s all been good! 🙂 Just learning to enjoy the experience and the time together. I can’t wait to get back and start making cookies like crazy. 🙂
That lunch looks epic! Also, I need to try those cookies – they look amazing as well!
oo I thought those pita chips were samosas…Now I’m craving Indian! I’m yet to try a frozen dinner but I did have an Amy’s pizza? I ate the whole thing, ate half another one then realised ONE was ‘supposed to serve like 3.
Hahaha the serving sizes on stuff like that is ALWAYS crazy.
Haha my post today is all about the frozen foods too. It’s such a busy week sometimes you just need to not think about it. I’ve been running around like crazy too!
P.S. That salad looks delicious!
Yay for cookie exchanges! Chocolate chip pecan cookies sounded delicious!
