What I Ate [at my parents] Wednesday
I should warn you, my mom has been nervous about this post.
It seems that even she has noticed the buzz around the blog world on Wednesdays, thanks to Jenn and her famous What I Ate Wednesday party! My mom isn’t a frequent reader, so the fact that she’s noticed, its kind of amusing.
Breakfast
This was actually more like a morning snack. I woke up and did the Jillian Michael’s dvd I got for Christmas, before eating breakfast. By the time I finished, it was almost 11am, and I wasn’t in the mood for a big breakfast. So I munched on this:
Kashi TLC bar (SO good) and a clementine, fresh from Florida (Thanks, Aunt Dee!)
Lunch
A giant yogurt bowl. (My mom even dug out a colored bowl so I didn’t have to use a plain white one.)
Snack
I nibbled on these all afternoon. These things are super crunchy. I love them!
Dinner
My friend Kate, (from Virginia) stopped by Columbus on her way home from Wisconsin so we headed downtown and had dinner at Jimmy V’s. Ready for a #foodbloggerfail? I didn’t bring my camera. So I have no picture of the panini. Please allow this google image to fill in for me:

Thank you, google images, for saving me on that one. And the panini was good, despite the fact that they put mushrooms on it when I specifically asked for them not to. Oh well. I survived.
Entertainment
We finished off the evening at Woodlands Tavern, since my friend Dylan was putting on a comedy show. (If you’re in Columbus you should totally check out Dylan’s shows. He was featured in the news earlier this week!)
As you can see, we knew it would be a fun filled evening 😉
mmm! those tlc bars look great! so does the panini 🙂
xo.
That yogurt bowl looks tasty, and if those are fresh berries, you are entirely in my envy! As soon as it hit October/November here in Ohio, I have been using frozen berries because the fresh berries are so expensive and tasteless 🙂
They’re fresh berries!!! I got super lucky. Even though I was in cold, grey Ohio, my aunt brought fresh fruit (oranges, berries, grapefruit) all the way from Florida. They were SO good!!
The flavor of that TLC bar sounds delicious! I have seen them at the grocery store but have never picked them up….I’m going to next time!
I love stand up comedy!! I dont go to enough shows 🙂
Hope you had a great time with your parents!
Those TLC bars are the best! And how long has TJ’s had those chips?? I want them!
I think they’ve had them for awhile actually!! And believe it or not, Target has some similar chips under the Archer Farms brand!
My old hometown has NO restaurants other than fast food and Southern breakfast, so needless to say, I am more than happy to let my mama cook for me when I go visit 😀 And you always have the best-looking snacks–I want those lentil chips, they are officially on my Trader Joe’s shopping list.
Those TLC bars look like they were made for me! I’ve never seen that flavor before, so I guess I need to look a little closer!!!
Haha I had to laugh because my mom did the opposite: she dug out EVERY PIECE of whiteware she could find because she knows I love photographing on white. 🙂
And don’t consider it a foodbloggerfail to not photograph your meal. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break.
[Of course, I say that…and then usually end up kicking myself afterwards because it was so good and I wish I had documented it!]
Can’t wait to share some of my favorite restaurants WITH you (?)
Yes!!!! Can we please meet up soon???
I need to get some Kahi bars. I am out of bars, completely! Like that is so wrong!! As for favorite places to eat – we have several which means making a decision is hard.
I LOVE Kashi bars – I can’t wait until they start making more gluten-free products! I think my mom might be nervous if she read my blog often – but since she doesn’t, I’m pretty sure she doesn’t even know what WIAW is! =)
