These deviled strawberries are so fun for holidays like Valentine’s Day or a girls’ night. The filling is a simple cream cheese fruit dip that tastes like cheesecake filling, so you can turn fresh strawberries into a bite-sized dessert that disappears fast.

Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Strawberries: Choose large, firm strawberries so theyโ€™re easy to hollow and fill.
  • Cream cheese: This creates a rich, tangy base for the filling. Use full-fat for the best texture.
  • Whipped topping: This keeps the filling light and fluffy. Homemade whipped cream can be used instead, but the filling will be softer.
  • Powdered sugar: This adds sweetness and helps create a smooth texture.
  • Vanilla extract: This adds a light vanilla cheesecake-style flavor.
  • Optional toppings: Graham cracker crumbs, crushed cookies, mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, lemon zest, or sprinkles all work beautifully.

Tips for Making Deviled Strawberries

  • Make sure the strawberries are completely dry so the filling sticks well.
  • Soften the cream cheese fully to avoid lumps.
  • If the filling seems too soft, refrigerate it for 15โ€“20 minutes before piping.
  • Assemble them shortly before serving.

Make-Ahead Instructions

You can prepare the filling up to 2 days in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Assemble the strawberries within a few hours of serving for the best texture and freshness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Other Toppings and Additions

  • Cheesecake style: Top with graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla wafers.
  • Chocolate: Add mini chocolate chips or a drizzle of melted chocolate.
  • Lemon cheesecake: Add 1 teaspoon lemon zest to the filling.

Description

These deviled strawberries are a delicious and festive no bake dessert recipe. Whip them up when you need a perfect party treat!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 pounds large strawberries, halved and patted dry
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Note: I think this recipe works best in a food processor, but you can also make it with a hand mixer.

  1. In a food processor or a large bowl with a hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until completely combined.
  3. Transfer the filling to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner cut off.

  4. Pipe the filling into each strawberry half. Serve immediately.
