Alex and Liz [Got] Married

What an absolutely perfect weekend.  Alex and I said “I do” surrounded by our friends and family from all over the country.

I feel overwhelmed with joy, happiness, and excitement about all the things to come!

I’m so thankful for the girls I had standing up there with me. Alexa & Kelly, friends that I’ve had since high school, Aricka & Nicole, my sister (in law)s, and Christina & Lindsay, friends from Richmond.

We decided to do things a little differently so we served donuts instead of wedding cake. (Alex picked Oreo and I picked Old Fashioned) Dixie Donuts will always have a special place in my heart.

I surprised myself by holding back all of my tears throughout the ceremony and first dances, but as soon as my maid of honor Alexa started her toast, I was bawling.

I can say with absolute certainty that it was the most wonderful day of my life. I’m thrilled to become a part of the Thomson family. I literally couldn’t stop smiling and I danced the night away with my husband and all of our friends and family!

Thank goodness for our amazing wedding coordinators. If any of you live in Virginia and are looking for help with wedding planning or day-of coordinating, I would absolutely recommend 29:11 Celebrations. Susan and her team assembled all of the decorations we made, and everything came together so beautifully. They kept us perfectly on schedule and took all the stress out of the day! We already knew we loved our photographer, since Kaytee took our engagement photos, but she did a fantastic job getting all the shots we wanted. I can’t wait to see how all the photos turn out!

Alex and I are headed off to Charleston, SC today for our honeymoon and I am so excited to relax, lay on the beach, eat some tasty food, and enjoy a week with my husband!
