Chipotle Catering Review
If you’re thinking about using Chipotle catering for your next event, here’s what you need to know!
Chipotle’s Catering Service
Chipotle launched its catering service in 2014 and we’ve used it many times. From birthday parties to graduations, it’s a great way to feed a large group of people! Their catering service provides the napkins, bowls, chips, and other essentials, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!
How Much to Order
As you might expect, this depends on the size of your crowd and how hungry your guests will be. When you’re ordering through the online system, you’re technically paying “per person” although they’re generous in the portion sizes. If you’re ordering the “Double” or the “Triple” options, you don’t necessarily need to order a meal for every person. If you’re hosting a birthday party or casual event, ordering 10 servings will likely feed 11-13 people. Obviously, there is a difference in people’s appetites, so it’s best to have extras!
When Chipotle initially launched their catering offerings, the food came in metal containers, shown below. They’ve recently moved to plastic containers.
Planning for a Group
One reason I love using Chipotle’s catering service is that it’s easy to fit a variety of diet restrictions. Since guests can customize their own bowl, it’s easy to offer gluten free, vegetarian, and/or vegan options.
When picking salsa options, I recommend the mild tomato salsa and the corn salsa. These aren’t too spicy but they both offer a lot of flavor.
For proteins, I recommend a veggie option (the fajita veggies and guacamole are excellent) then chicken, then steak. Those tend to be the crowd pleasers!
How to Store Leftovers
Most of the items will keep well in the fridge for 2-3 days, with the exception of the guacamole and lettuce. All containers come with plastic lids, so it’s easy to keep everything sealed and fresh.
Catering Customer Service
I’ve been a huge fan of Chipotle’s food for years, so it’s no surprise I love their catering service! I’ve also been impressed with their customer service. When ordering Chipotle catering for a surprise party, the restaurant was late with the order. (Very late, which was unfortunate for a surprise party!) But when I submitted my feedback online, Chipotle was quick to apologize and offered me a coupon for free catering so they could make it right at another event. They go above and beyond, which is awesome!
If you need a budget friendly, easy, delicious catering service for your next event, try Chipotle!
This post was not sponsored but Chipotle did provide me with catering for an event. I was not required to post a review, but I wanted to share my honest thoughts!
Who says Chipotle parties can’t be classy?! haha I still haven’t jumped on the Chipotle train, I need to try it ASAP! Love how you used it in the leftovers!
FREE chipotle? How in the heck did you get that offer?! Man I could eat that stuff every day… especially their guac! So dang tasty!
I know, right? I totally HAVE been eating it every day 😉
Um how awesome is this?!!?
I freaking love Chipotle and dreams would come true if they decided to cater a party for me. Well first I would have to make more friends I guess LOL.
if I had to cater Chipotle party, I would probably freeze the leftover so I can ration my meals before they run out 😛
A Chipotle party sounds so awesome! I usually just eat my leftovers for lunches at work, which means I’m sick of them after 3 days. I love your ideas, though!
OH MY GOSH I am so freaking jealous. That looks so awesome…Chipotle is THE BEST.
DROOL! When I saw your Instagram I was instantly jealous… And if classy people have dinner parties and you have Chipotle parties, I’m not sure I want to be classy anyways.
Leftovers can definitely be tricky when you’re working off of one source. We made a ton of pulled pork in the Crockpot a few weeks left and had to get inventive. We did salads, sandwiches, stuffed some into cabbage rolls, and about a million other things!
Maybe I can convince Chipotle to throw a blogger party for us 😉 Cabbage rolls would be a good idea! I should try that next!
I love Chipotle! I am jealous of your party! My husband prefers Moes (crazy I know) and so I don’t get to go to Chipotle as often as I would like. Hope you had a great weekend.
Haha I’d never even tried Moe’s until I moved to Richmond! It’s not bad, but it’s no Chipotle 😉
You can put almost any leftover on a bed of sautéed kale, and top it with a fried egg (over easy). Freshly cracked pepper on top and / or some truffle salt make it even better. This is the laziest, easiest way to get rid of leftovers but it’s been raved about and requested frequently by guests at my house.
I MUST try that, Tess!! (Alex loves eggs so I’m sure he would love this idea!)
Next time you have a Chipotle party, can I come? LOL – I usually use leftovers in my salads, and eggs.
yes, me too! i’m inviting myself! great use!
