The sweet potatoes from my garden!
When Eric sent me this picture of what he’d picked from our garden, I was practically jumping up and down, mostly because I’m obsessed with the sweet potato + almond butter combo.

I honestly don’t eat a lot of eggs, and I’m not a big cheese fan… but put these together, and you’ve got a pretty killer protein snack. I’ve realized I need to start eating protein after a weight lifting session. So this has been it.
My body is loving these…
On their own, they taste like tree bark. But it’s only 12 calories per cracker, and has like a zillion grams of fiber and if you smear some almond butter on top, it’s actually really tasty. If you have *digestive problems* then I highly recommend this. (TMI? Sorry.)

Girl, did you GROW your own sweet potatoes!? Man I wish I had the ability (and the garden) to pull off such a thing. I could barely grow a basil plant 🙁
Haha confession; I had a garden last year and killed almost everything! But this year, my BFF Eric is helping me, and he is WAY better at the gardening thing! I haven’t killed anything YET! 😉
Robyn has sort of made a comeback in my mind… I’ve got a couple of her new tracks on my ipod now, but the last time I heard from her was when I was in jr high or something???
My mom is bringing me sweet potatoes from her garden this fall when she visits. I’m so freakin’ excited.
I’ve never grown sweet taters before, but I think I need to start since I eat them several times per week! Love the egg whites & laughing cow cheese combo….I’m thinking that cheese would also be fabulous on those bran crisps?! Enjoy your long weekend!!!!!
The taters were actually super easy to grow! I don’t have much of a green thumb, but we’ve “harvested” quite a lot!

That is a very impressive haul of sweet potatoes! I still haven’t tried them with almond butter, I’ve heard all the ravings about how good it is.
Oh my I am so obsessed with Robyn, I may have to fill my shuffle with her to get me through a dreadmill run this weekend. So jealous of your sweet potatoes from your garden, I have such a sweet potato craving at the moment!

I am loving my morning concoction: GF Steel Cut Oats cooked with berries, flax, hemp seeds and shredded dry coconut! So hearty and healthy and keeps me full for HOURS.
The AB + Sweet tater combo will literally rock your world. Add a little cinnamon and a pinch of stevia and it’s CRAZY good.

I love those scandinavian crisp bread thingies! They are so expensive so I don’t get them often, but they remind me of the taste of All Bran which I love. Is it horrible that I love something that taste like cardboard? Probably, but oh well! I like to break them up on to smoothies, or even use them to scoop the smoothie in to my mouth!
Haha I’ve never thought about using them as a smoothie scoop! That’s a good idea. I honestly can’t stand the taste of them on their own!
