Description

Making wild rice in an Instant Pot is quick and easy, and you get perfectly cooked, fluffy rice every time! I love this method for cooking wild rice.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the wild rice and water to the Instant Pot and stir to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and lock it in place. Be sure the venting knob is in the sealing position.
  3. Pressure cook on high for 28 minutes. The Instant Pot will take about 10 minutes to come to pressure.
  4. Once the cooking cycle has ended, let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes. Then turn the venting knob to vent and allow any remaining pressure to escape.
  5. Use the rice in burgers, salads, or soups!
