- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup panko crumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped chipotle peppers
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- Toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, cilantro sauce, etc.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, stir together the quinoa, egg, cheese, panko crumbs, chipotle peppers, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, and salt.
- Shape into 4 patties.
- In a large, non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the burger patties to the pan and cook until the bottoms are browned, about 4 minutes.
- Gently flip the patties, cover, and cook for 4-5 minutes more until the second side is golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked burgers to buns and add your favorite toppings.
