Description

If you want to learn the trick to making super creamy hummus at home, read on! This easy recipe is all you need to make delicious hummus!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 15oz can of chickpeas
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup sesame tahini
  • Juice from 1 small lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Red pepper, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the chickpeas to a pot and cover with 1″ of water. Add the baking soda and stir.
  2. Bring the chickpeas to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the chickpeas are completely softened.
  3. Drain the chickpeas, then add them to a food processor.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  5. Add additional water, if needed.
