Description

These crispy halloumi fries are made in the air fryer, so no oil is needed! This uniquely salty cheese is easy to prepare and it’s a delicious side dish!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz halloumi, sliced into 1/2″ strips
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees.
  2. Spray the fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  3. Dip each halloumi slice into the flour until lightly coated.
  4. Whisk the egg in a shallow bowl, then dip each halloumi piece into the egg. Let the excess egg run off.
  5. Dip the halloumi slice into the panko crumbs until coated.
  6. Once all of the halloumi is covered in flour, egg, and panko crumbs, place it in the air fryer in a single layer, being careful not to overlap or stack the pieces.
  7. Air fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Use a spatula to remove from the air fryer basket and serve immediately.
