Description

This creamy vegetarian Caesar dressing skips the anchovies but keeps all the salty, savory depth. It’s nut-free and comes together in 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (vegan mayo works great!)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained
  • 1 teaspoon caper brine
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 24 tablespoons milk, to thin as needed (almond milk is fine)
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, capers, caper brine, nutritional yeast, garlic, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and black pepper to the food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust with additional lemon juice, salt, or pepper if needed.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
