Scale
- 1 cup TVP (textured vegetable protein)
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika

- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or vegetable oil
- Burger buns and toppings (I used lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the TVP with vegetable broth, soy sauce, and ground flax seeds. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the TVP to absorb the broth.
- Stir in the vegan mayonnaise, then add the nutritional yeast, seasonings, flour, and oats and mix until combined.
- Divide into 4 balls and shape into patties.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat for one minute.
- Cook the burgers over medium heat for 5 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom. Flip and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
