- 1 (8 ounce) package tempeh, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Place the tempeh in a microwave-safe bowl with ¼ cup water.
- Microwave for 3 minutes to steam the tempeh.
- Drain any remaining liquid. (Be careful, it will be hot.)
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, and seasoning and stir to combine.
- Coat the tempeh with the marinade and allow it to absorb for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the tempeh in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until dark brown.
