Chickpea Caesar Wrap
These chickpea Caesar wraps are a quick and easy lunch! You only need a handful of ingredients for this healthy, filling meal.
I’ve always loved Caesar dressing but once I became a vegetarian I had to find an alternative since most Caesar salad dressings contain anchovies. But luckily for me, it hasn’t been hard to create a vegetarian-friendly swap! Once I had a dressing nailed down, the rest of this wrap is easy! Think of this recipe as a simple base and you can add other veggies to the wrap depending on what you have in your fridge.
The Best Vegetarian Caesar Salad Dressings
If you’re looking for a homemade option, try my creamy vegan Caesar dressing which has just the right amount of creamy, tangy flavor to replace your favorite Caesar salad dressing. You can make a batch of this dressing and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Or if you don’t want to make your own dressing, I recommend Brianna’s Asiago Caesar dressing. It’s not vegan (it does contain dairy) but there’s no fish in it, so it’s vegetarian friendly. I love the flavor and I always have a bottle in my fridge.
The chickpeas and veggies make this wrap healthy, and the dressing adds the perfect punch of flavor. Of course, if you’re not a vegetarian, any Caesar dressing would work. For the chickpeas, you can either use them straight out of the can or you can make these crispy chickpeas and add the cooked chickpeas to the wrap. Keep in mind that the crispy chickpeas won’t stay crispy as they cool down. But they’ll still have a lovely flavor!
Variations & Substitutions
- Feel free to add additional veggies. I love chopped tomatoes, shredded carrots, or shredded cabbage.
- You can also add shaved Parmesan cheese or crumbled feta cheese.
- I recommend using a whole wheat wrap for more protein and fiber but any type of tortilla or wrap will be fine.

Saw this on Instagram and knew I had to come by and check it out! I do love caesar salads but feel guilty sometimes eating them…I just feel like if I’m going to eat a salad I may as well keep it healthy or else indulge in something more decadent like french fries lol. This however looks delicious and healthy! No reason you can’t have the two right? Thanks!!
Yum! This look delicious, Liz. Where’d you buy this dressing?
I actually don’t like caesar salads but this wrap looks divine!
Confession: I actually have no idea what makes a Caesar salad a Caesar salad… I didn’t even know anchovies were involved (ick?). I do love a good salad though, especially with a good dressing. I wonder if they sell this one around here…
I’ve seen that dressing at the store before and always wondered if it was good. I’ll have to give it a try!
I loveeeeeee Brianna’s! Pretty much every type of dressing is made of rainbows and unicorns. Officially hungry for some of their balsamic at 8:00am in the morning. This feels normal..
I don’t usually have caesar salad but that looks like a delicious alternative. I usually don’t have it as I find it too full on with the dressing.
This sounds SO good, Liz! I learned when I started Weight Watchers that you can stretch your dressings because so many are so thick. The creamy ones you can thin with a bit of soy or almond milk. The other types just add a bit of water. My Mom and I would always do that. Measure out what we had and then thin it so that it would cover a nice big salad. I’ve never roasted chick peas but the idea sounds so good…I keep hearing about roasting them. I must try it! Have a great day!
Yes!! Sometimes ill thin out this one with a little balsamic vinegar, so it’s still packed with flavor but a little less heavy! I bet you and I could do a whole post on that!
Yay! This post answered my prayers. I’m so happy you decided to post the recipe for the chickpea wraps. Where’d you get your dressing from though btw?
I got it at Kroger! They do sell it on Amazon, it you don’t have a Kroger near by!
that stuff is my ALL TIME favorite dressing! I recently wrote a blog post about how I make my own salad dressing 95% of the time… but that extra 5% is reserved for Brianna’s Asiago Caesar. it’s definitely a splurge, but soooo delicious 🙂 that wrap looks awesome!
