3 Apps for Healthy Resolutions
It’s almost 2014 and I’m sure many of you are thinking of resolutions. This will finally be the year you eat better & exercise more, right? Even if you weren’t thinking of making “healthy” resolutions, these apps might change your mind, since they’re free and super easy to use!
For Exercise – The Nike Training Club app is by far the best app I’ve found for exercise ideas. If you love circuit workouts or high intensity training, then you must download this! It’s free and it has tons of workout options for both specific areas, as well as different time options, so you can squeeze in a heart pumping workout, even if you only have 20 minutes. And yes, it is totally free.
For Healthy Eating- The Daily Plate is fantastic if you want to start food tracking. It’s so easy to use, and the library has tons of foods already in the database, making it super simple. You can use the app or the website, and they easily sync together. You can also track exercise and activity to give you a more complete picture. While I know tracking calories certainly isn’t for everyone, it can be very effective for some! It’s also a great way to identify patterns and opportunities to make healthier choices.
For Healthy Recipes–The Food on the Table app does almost all the planning for you. You can search recipes, then add all the ingredients to a grocery list, so you never end up one-ingredient-short again! This is perfect for people who don’t have a well stocked pantry, but want to start cooking up healthy (or unhealthy, I’m not judging) dishes in the new year.
