I’ll be honest here, I hadn’t really given much thought to life after the wedding. I mean I knew it was coming, but I planned absolutely nothing after May 31st. Usually I have a pretty packed schedule, a neat “to-do” list, and 5 errands I need to finish, but now the summer seems like a blank slate so there is no better time to set some goals. Here’s what I’m planning for Summer 2014:
1. Try New Workouts
I like taking fitness classes and I love trying new workouts. I’ve been in a bit of a fitness rut, so I’m goal is to get myself out of that. I really want to take one of those acrobat fitness classes where you hang from the ceiling so as soon as one opens in Richmond, I’m there. For now, I have my sights set on Zumba and Barre.
2. Plan New Date Ideas
Just because we’re married doesn’t mean we’re going to stop dating. I have a few ideas up my sleeve of things I want to check out, so Alex, you’ve been warned. Anyone have suggestions?
3. Follow (a few) Recipes
I am horrible at following recipes. I honestly think it’s much easier to make something up than to follow specific directions. But I really do want to try following recipes so I can learn how to cook new types of dishes. Plus I have a bunch of awesome cookbooks that I want to actually use. Be prepared for some recipe inspiration coming your way!
4. Keep Nesting
Alex and I have been putting the apartment together little by little, and we just started the office on Sunday. Here’s a bit of the progress:
This little nook is perfect. I used to eat breakfast in my bed while blogging but now that I’m sharing a bed with a husband, this set up makes a lot more sense. Now if we can just finish the rest of the apartment…
Those are my goals! You’ll notice that none of them are particularly lofty but they’re all things that make me happy. Nothing wrong with that, right?
