West Coast Eats
I’m going to keep this short since I’m still on vacation, and trying not to spend a lot of time on my computer. Of course, I couldn’t resist jumping in with a little What I Ate Wednesday to show you some of my west coast favorites.
Breakfast
My favorite breakfast so far was definitely the brunch I mentioned on Monday. I was smitten with the little carafe of French Press coffee.
I’ll pretend like I wasn’t slightly confused on how and when to actually drink the coffee. It was still quaint and lovely.
On our way out of Seattle, we stopped by a Mediterranean place for lunch, and I had some delicious falafel. We were the only people in the restaurant, which was strange, but the food was delicious, and reasonably priced.
Nothing like a little tahini drizzled on top.
After a quick stop to see the Washington capital, we crossed the border into Oregon, and arrived in Portland. Shortly after checking into our hotel, we took a long walk around the city, and stopped in at a pasta place that a co-worker had recommended.
Justa Pasta had very reasonably priced pasta and wine, so Alex and I split a bottle of a Portuguese red, and I had a plate of three cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. This totally hit the spot.
We’re headed out of Portland later today, and heading towards Napa Valley. Follow me on Instagram to see more pictures!
I hardly comment, however I browsed some of the comments on this page West Coast Eats – I Heart Vegetables.
I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it’s allright.
Could it be only me or do a few of the comments come across
as if they are written by brain dead individuals?
😛 And, if you are writing on additional online social sites,
I’d like to keep up with you. Could you list of all of all
your social networking pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
Hooray! Glad you made it to our side of the country! I live in Olympia and we are so lucky to have some of the yummiest, freshest, healthiest places to eat up and down I-5 from Seattle to Portland. Thanks for visiting our littel corner of the world 🙂
Sounds like you guys are having a great time! Love the falafel! And don’t worry, I needed pointers on my first French press a couple of months ago too! 😉
Yum to all of those foods, they all look delicious!! Of course especially the falafel!! I hope you are enjoying your time away 🙂
Best vacation I’ve ever been on by far was to Hawaii earlier this year.
