I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and a bit of a head cold. My meals always get a little thrown off when I’m feeling under the weather, so I thought it would be more fun to show you what my meals looked like on Sunday.

Because I was awake before my roommates, I decided not to wake up the entire house with my jet-engine-esque blender, and opted for yogurt, blueberries, and half a grapefruit. Sunday mornings also include a cup or two of coffee!
After breakfast, I got my workout in at Gym Quest, in their adult tumbling class. It’s so much fun flipping around, and I’m always sore the next day. You’re never too old for gymnastics, right?
When I got home, I was ready for lunch, so I whipped up a Greek Salad that hit the spot.
I’m clearly still obsessed with feta. This salad was delicious, but since it’s so low in calories, I was still kind of hungry. For “dessert” I had a tablespoon of peanut butter. Hey, when you know what you want, you might as well eat it.
I snacked around during the afternoon. A handful of cereal, the other half of the grapefruit from breakfast. You know how it goes.
Dinner was the White Pizza Scramble I posted on Monday.
I also had one two glasses of wine, and a bowl of Special K Cinnamon Pecan cereal before going to bed.
Overall, I tried to mix up my meals a little for a little more fat and protein, and a little less carbs. There might have been some confusion on Monday’s post… I’m not cutting back on calories what-so-ever. I’m just mixing things up a bit since I’ve been in a bit of a rut! I still had plenty of fruit and cereal, but I definitely noticed I felt more full and satisfied when my meals contained a good mix of protein and fat.

I’m looking forward to some incredible leftovers for lunch (roasted cauliflower tahini salad) and some delicious popcorn with a movie tonight after class
adult tumbling class? now if that doesn’t sound like fun i don’t know what does!
Right? It’s so much fun! And it’s such a different workout!
yes! i’ve definitely found that having more fat/protein leaves me more satisfied with the same calorie count. (as i said on your post yesterday, but it’s worth saying twice
)
i hate planning my breakfasts around roommates. i’m looking forward to a smoothie tomorrow, but it won’t happen if my roommate stays here. good thing breakfast is so easy to have back-ups plans for!
and i could eat that salad right now. at 8am. LOVE feta and red onion.
Ohh I cant even remember the last time I had grapefruit but could totally use some right now…especially sprinkled with cinnamon!
Oh yum! I’ve never tried it with cinnamon!
Mmm grapefruit is the best, especially with yogurt! Happy WIAW Liz!
Adult tumbling class! How cool. Good for you.
Looks like a very healthy day, indeed.
I’m making eggplant parmeasean soup tonight. I don’t always have the best luck cooking with eggplant so fingers crossed that this turns out as delicious as it sounds in my head!
I hope you’re feeling a little better… my eats are always super random (often bad) when I’m under the weather because I get the “f it” feeling. Meh.
adult tumbling class? How awesome are you!!
Kinda looks like a greek sorta day! Had an onion and spinach scrambled egg concoction for breakfast, a salad for lunch… and date night, prolly steak for dinner tonight!
I always forget about grapefruit. They’re large and intimidating. TWSS?? Today I’m eating eggs & avocado, chili, coconut almonds…probably a ton more food.
Hope you’re feeling better! That pizza scramble looks really good
YUMYUMYUM to the white pizza scramble!!
That’s right. Never too old for tumbling!!
Yes Feta is the best! That is so cool that you take a tumbling class, its totally different, and would so much fun to flip around! Hope you feel better
I have to ask did you like the greek yogurt? I had it yesterday and was not much of a fan..I had to drizzle some caramel in it just to make it palatable…am i missing something?
I love plain Greek yogurt! I put stevia and fruit in mine. I definitely don’t like it plain! Try adding some NuNaturals stevia in it and see if that’s better!
I’ve never heard of an adult tumbling class. Sounds like a lot of fun
. Yum, all of the sudden I have the hankering for some grapefruit
. Though, I’m holding out for the big pummelo grapefruits to come out – those are my favorite. Happy Halloween!
Sorry to hear that you’re feeling a little under the weather… hope you feel better soon! And that adult tumbling class sounds so cool – I’d love to try something like that, but I’ve never seen it offered at my gym.
I have to go to an actual gymnastics gym for it but it’s totally worth it!!
Today? I just had a bowl of brown rice and carrot lentil curry…fairly good on protein, but could have been better.
Nut(ty) butters are my ‘dessert’ every night. It is a habit I cannot break.
Why would you ever even consider giving up a dessert like that?!
Your pictures are all so pretty! Adult tumbling sounds like a LOT of fun.
It’s my favorite workout of the week for sure!
Gosh, I hope you feel better!
That’s too funny about not waking up your housemates with the blender. In the morning I was always super cautious about using our gargantuan food processor, so I’d put all of the ingredients in it, take it up to my room, wrap it in a blanket to act as a muffle, and blend away! haha
I had a lot of bananas today. But I wish I had been eating that pizza scramble– Look at that awesome protein count!
Hahaha I’ve done the towel trick with my blender!! I’m glad I’m not the only one haha!
I’m the same way as you, I feel so much more satisfied when my meals contain protein & fat. I’m not as snacky and can enjoy my day without constantly wondering when I’ll get to eat again.
Your salad looks delish!
Love me a spinach salad with balsamic! Funny, I never buy spinach or dress my greens (I always blend the poor leaves) but whenever I get spinach salads I enjoy them so much!
I’m eating a frozen banana blended with cocoa powder, prunes, almond milk and walnuts. Topped with amaranth cereal, sprouted buckwheat, hemp and sunflower seeds. Woohoo!
Hahaha spinach doesn’t last in my fridge either! I always end up tossing it in the blender!
Ah, I’m so jealous of your tumbling class @ your game. It sounds like such a fun and awesome workout! What sorts of gymnastics do you do?
oh & of course all of your meals look delicious
We do all kinds of tumbling on the floor and the tumble track! Lots of backhandsprings, back tucks, a little front tumbling
Every class is an adventure!
Tumbling sounds fun. I took tumbling as a little one and still remember how to do the elephant walk
Hope you’re feeling better.
My eats will be all over the place today – busy day. But last night I made turkey & mushroom sloppy joes so I’ll have those for dinner.
That greek salad looks so good and simple! I love feta too – actually I love most cheese (: But feta in salads is so delicious!
Aww, I hope you feel better soon! Colds are no fun at all. Your Greek salad looks delish
I love grapefruit and need to eat the two in my fridge. I’ll have some as a snack tonight thanks to your post. I need to look into that adult tumbling class…sounds fun!
Jayme @ Her Late Night Cravings
According to a commenter, grapefruit with cinnamon is good!! I’m definitely going to try it!
This looks like a WIAW I could have posted. Everything looks so good and that greek salad is the key to my heart right there!
Hahaha we should do a WIAW swap sometime
Oh man, I love that Special K Cinnamon Pecan cereal… so yummy!
National PB month? How in the world did I not know this??!!! Thank you my dear for informing all of us… and of course sharing those awesome recipes
