Thank You Dad…
Thank you dad…
For being patient when I asked 100 questions a day (Is this oak or pine?)
For writing me back, every time I wrote you a note (Even the ones just reminding you to get your lunch out of the fridge)
For [constantly] reminding me to get my oil changed, check my tire pressure, fill up my gas tank…(I still need that)
For teaching me how to do a front handspring… (and for showing my whole team how to do a real back extension roll)
For setting an example of how a man should treat a woman, and a father should treat his children (you’ve set the bar high!)
For being able to fix anything. (And I mean anything)
For worrying about me. (Even when I didn’t want you to.)
For letting me do all the things mom would say no to 😉 (Like putting up a gymnastics bar in the living room.)
For being my coach, my Sunday school teacher, my mechanic, my friend, and first and foremost, my dad.
I love you dad, Happy Fathers Day! 🙂

Great father’s day post- you covered all of the good stuff! This is so sweet 🙂
Liz, thank you for being the best daughter a dad could ever have. You made life so exciting around the Parent household – the shows, the bookmarks, the artwork, the notes (I still have my newspaper and limerick), reading books, playing freeze arrow, Legos, the shop, skiing on snow days, and putting up with my teasing. The dreaded teenage years were also a blast. You made them so pleasant for mom and me – making excellent choices in friends and functions. We enjoyed hosting the neighborhood hang out in our basement. The fun we had at church during youth, praise band, and mission trips was special – you let mom and me stay involved, even though we were “your parents”!!!. I wish you had taken up golf, fishing, and camping as a kid instead of as an adult (LOL)!!! I am so proud of the young woman you have become. I miss you and can’t wait to see you at the family reunion. God Bless and remember, the shop is always open and the help desk is just a phone call away.
