Some Kiiiind of Wonderful…

My [extensive] nut butter collection has a new edition.

Oh. Em. Gee.

Have you tried this stuff? They should call it “Heaven in a Jar” because that’s what this stuff is.

Some people have impressive wine collections. I prefer nut butters. So now I have about 8 jars of nut butters in the pantry/fridge.

So here’s the current line up:

White chocolate Wonderful (as pictured above)

Dark Chocolate Dreams

Crunch Time

Justin’s Chocolate Almond Butter

Homemade Almond Butter

Homemade Peanut Butter

Better ‘n Peanut Butter (which is, in fact, not better. But sometimes handy)

PB2 (Does this count? Yes, I’m counting it.)

However, since I like these nut butters a little too much, sometimes I have to do a little tweaking. Thankfully, the Freckled Foodie had the perfect solution for me! Enter, her magical Peanut Butter Paste! Sami, I’m not sure what proportion of each ingredient you use, but this is what I used this morning:

Peanut Butter Paste (from the Freckled Foodie)

  • 3 tbsp peanut flour (I get mine at TJ’s)
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar free vanilla syrup
  • 2 tbsp water (maybe a little more to thin)
  • 1 tsp peanut butter (I used White Chocolate Wonderful)

I love this because peanut flour is LOADED with protein. I stirred in about a tsp of white chocolate wonderful into my paste to make it extra creamy. Note, a serving of this stuff has ~100 calories and 9g of protein. (So it has as much protein as a serving of nut butter, but half the calories. Oh and it’s a larger serving! Bonus!!) I’m excited to try this with caramel syrup… I’m thinking that could be good.

Have you tried peanut flour, yet? Any nut butters I should try?

  1. Peanut flour is amazing, HOWEVER, trader joes has discontinued it
🙁 So go out and get it while you can!!

  2. I have been combining the peanut flour and the peanut butter together too. I tried just using peanut flour in my smoothies, but without the fat of the real stuff it just doesn’t stick with me as long… but I love the extra peanutty flavor and the protein boost provided by the peanut flour! 🙂

  3. hey love! thanks for the shout out! 🙂 i’m glad you love the peanut butter paste idea! i actually am eating some now with sugar free log cabin syrup, water to thin, cinnamon, and raisins! it’s just like peanut butter co’s cinnamon raisin swirl! 😀 you’ll have to try it 😉 you can make your own “dark chocolate dreams” by adding cocoa powder, too, instead!

i don’ teven have a tj’s around me, so i’ve been ordering mine online. a little pricy, but totally worth it!

    have an awesome day!

  4. WCW is soo good! but i think DCD beats it!…

  5. oh my gracious. I need to run.. right now… to buy some white chocolate pb.

will someone please come rescue me when I’m on my kitchen floor in a nut butter coma?

  6. I haven’t tried any of these yet… I need to try them!

  7. I’ve never tried peanut flour yet (hopefully soon!?), but I am totally ALL OVER that white chocolate PB already! I’ve blown through a white chocolate & a dark chocolate variety in just a matter of weeks! AMAZING!

  8. I do have some peanut flour at home but don’t use it to often. What I do like to do is mix the flour with some soymilk as a pancake topper – yum!

Have you tried sunflower seed butter? I love that stuff 🙂

  9. I’m thoroughly hooked on peanut flour. I eat it every darn day! And a nut butter you shouldn’t try — TJ raw almond butter. It leaves a sickly, dry taste/feeling in your mouth.

  10. I’m dying to try that, but especially the dark chocolate kind!

  11. Wow, you have an impressive nut butter collection. I want to try peanut flour so badly, but nowhere around me sells it. I guess I’ll have to order some, it sounds so good!

  12. I just stocked up on 8 peanut flours because it’s being discontinuted. I guess you could say i’m kind of in love 🙂

  13. I am dangerously becoming a PB addict, myself. Do you recommend the PB2? It sounds pretty amazing.

  14. That looks delish! Where can you find it? Ive heard and seen bloggers using peanut flower..Im heading to my local TJs today!!

Thanks for the commentvon my “converting meat-eater” blog! I love your blog!!!

Im so loving my 10k plan, its super easy to follow. I’ll try to post it in my blog this weekend!!

  16. Oops sorry for the double (now triple) commenting! Silly iphone.

  17. i love the peanut flour. i’m going to pick up more today 🙂
as far as flavored peanut butters, i’m generally a purist and prefer regular ole Smuckers natural.just peanuts and salt.
but….once in a while i get a craving for a “frosting” kind of peanut butter and i’ll go the route of cranberry vanilla PB or dark chocolate PB 😀

  18. Such a coincidence! I tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago–my friend Katie mailed it to me in a birthday package, and I swear it’s one of the most delicious-tasting treats I’ve had in forever!

  19. Omg I love your nut butter collection! Mine sounds almost EXACTLY the same! except, I don’thave any homemade ones..but I do have the almond butter and honey roasted pb from whole foods that you grind yourself-so good! I don’t have betternpb or pb2, but I do have smuckers organic all natural crunchy, and Jiff;)
