My [extensive] nut butter collection has a new edition.
Oh. Em. Gee.
Have you tried this stuff? They should call it “Heaven in a Jar” because that’s what this stuff is.
Some people have impressive wine collections. I prefer nut butters. So now I have about 8 jars of nut butters in the pantry/fridge.
So here’s the current line up:
White chocolate Wonderful (as pictured above)
Better ‘n Peanut Butter (which is, in fact, not better. But sometimes handy)
PB2 (Does this count? Yes, I’m counting it.)
However, since I like these nut butters a little too much, sometimes I have to do a little tweaking. Thankfully, the Freckled Foodie had the perfect solution for me! Enter, her magical Peanut Butter Paste! Sami, I’m not sure what proportion of each ingredient you use, but this is what I used this morning:
Peanut Butter Paste (from the Freckled Foodie)
- 3 tbsp peanut flour (I get mine at TJ’s)
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar free vanilla syrup
- 2 tbsp water (maybe a little more to thin)
- 1 tsp peanut butter (I used White Chocolate Wonderful)
I love this because peanut flour is LOADED with protein. I stirred in about a tsp of white chocolate wonderful into my paste to make it extra creamy. Note, a serving of this stuff has ~100 calories and 9g of protein. (So it has as much protein as a serving of nut butter, but half the calories. Oh and it’s a larger serving! Bonus!!) I’m excited to try this with caramel syrup… I’m thinking that could be good.
Have you tried peanut flour, yet? Any nut butters I should try?
